Particularly smoky, the peat monster doesn’t deny its island origins, featuring islay malts from port askaig with their elegant smokiness and those from the south of the island with a much more earthy, medicinal character. Speyside, however, is represented by the ardmore distillery, renowned among connoisseurs for the excellence of its smoked malts. Aged in first and second fill bourbon casks. Selected malts are aged from 10 to 16 years.
